Ann Rousseau Smith is a poet and aspiring children's book writer. She grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. She still lives in California, but now resides in the Conejo Valley in Ventura County. She lives with her husband, daughter, and several animals, including a dog, a cat, a tarantula, and half a dozen chickens with feathers on their feet.
She graduated with a bachelors degree in graphic design from California State University, Northridge.
Ann's credits include poems in magazines and several anthologies. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and currently serves as the Critique Group Coordinator for the Central-Coastal California region.
When Ann is not writing or working part-time at Redwood Middle School, she enjoys visiting the beach at low tide, exploring museums, and attending the circus when it comes to town.
